Singapore, Oct 15, 2025
Around 6,000 students in Malaysia have contracted influenza, prompting the closure of several schools to protect the safety of both children and staff (Reports from CNA). According to The Star, Selangor currently has the highest number of influenza clusters, with 43 reported cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya (15), Penang (10), Johor (9), and Kedah (5).
Parents are strongly encouraged to have their children receive the flu vaccine. Annual flu vaccinations are essential, as the virus evolves each year, and the vaccine is updated accordingly. The vaccine is recommended for individuals aged six months and older.
