Digital CHAS subsidy cards on Singpass app
Starting April 28 2023, Singaporeans eligible for the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) can access a digital CHAS card via the Singpass mobile app. This feature will be automatically available to new and existing CHAS beneficiaries aged 15 and above, located in the app’s “my cards” section, where digital versions of NRIC and driving licenses are also stored.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced that while the digital CHAS card is being introduced, the physical version of the card will still be issued and can be used at participating general practitioners and dental clinics. The CHAS program offers eligible Singaporeans, including those in the Pioneer Generation and Merdeka Generation, subsidies for medical and dental services at participating clinics.
To avail of these subsidies, CHAS cardholders have the option to present either the digital or physical CHAS card, along with their digital or physical NRIC.
